The New Year is upon us, and with it comes an updated version of the Indiana Child Support Guidelines. The modified Support Guidelines, like the last iteration of the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines does not automatically go into effect for all cases. In fact for them to apply to prior cases, there needs to be a Court Order.

It is important that you are aware of which version of the guidelines, whether support or parenting time, apply to your Order and situation.

Each year you should consider whether or not your Order reflects what is best for your children, and whether a modification may be in Order. Turn to someone you can trust to educate you about your Order, and which guidelines, if any, apply. Talk to someone about making sure your Order is appropriate moving forward.

At Deenik Law, LLC we are ready and willing to help you make 2016 the best it can be. Don't hesitate to reach out if you want to review your Order and discuss potential solutions.

Deenik Law wishes you a most prosperous 2016!
